Welcome to my world

Hello everyone. I am Kay Elle and I'm hoping to take up tattooing as a career next year. I have been training now for around 6 months with my brother who is already a tattooist but in 2 weeks I go on my first proper tattoo training course and I'm really excited! I will be training with AJ Robertson from Shefield and then hopefully for a full day once a month to learn all the different techniques and styles. I am aiming to start a studio of my own in around 12 - 18 months when I will hopefully be good enough and confident enough to do it on my own. I have worked on some friends who allowed me to use them as guinea pigs and my hubby Mel is next hahahaha :) Anyway keep checking back to see how I'm getting on as I will add pics of my work as I go. x

    Looking good so far, can't wait to see how you progress. I've actually tried doing tattooing on some fake skin, it's a lot harder than it looks. I think it's more the unnatural feeling of the needle gun.

    @colcorbane - Thanks for letting me practice on ya babe :)

    @Drazilek - Thanks duck, and I know what you mean, I tried on fake skin first and couldn't really do it, real skin is much easier because its thicker, I kept snagging my needle on the fake stuff.

    @zorcon & CC- Thankyou, I will get more pics up as I work and hopefully you will like those too :)

    You're off to a great start! I'd recommend taking some really good shots of these first tattoos. If you are not into photography, at least take them in daylight and don't use a flash...outside on an overcast day is ideal. You'll want to showcase your work with some nice images.

    Anyway, here's to your talent!

    @Zero - Thank you, I will get some better pics done like you suggested as soon as, I just wanted to get some on for now though to give an idea of my work.

    @Drax- Cheers hun, The tribal piece is one of Mels, I haven't uploaded the one from his other arm yet but will get it done when I get a chance, also keep an eye out for more of his cus he says he will be my guinea pig :) x
